AUKETRA ENGINE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

General instructions

These instructions apply to the installation of a used replacement engine. This process is complex and requires strict compliance with all procedures and technical requirements. Before starting work, the mechanic in charge must read the engine installation notes.

If you purchase an engine from Auketra, you benefit from a limited 10-month warranty, provided that the engine is installed in accordance with the requirements and conditions set out in the warranty clause. The manufacturer defines the engine replacement procedure and the work to be carried out before commissioning. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations and requirements carefully, as Auketra will not be liable for damage caused by incorrect installation.

Conditions to be met before engine installation

Before installing the engine, you must:

  1. Check that it shows no visible signs of damage that may have been caused by inadequate transport. In case of damage, contact [email protected].
  2. Check and tighten all rubber gaskets if necessary.
  3. Turn the engine over several times using a wrench to ensure it turns correctly and that no suspicious noise indicates a malfunction.
  4. Replace the following parts with new ones before installing the engine: engine oil; air, oil and fuel filters; spark plugs (glow plugs for diesel engines); timing belt/chain kit; fuel injector gaskets; all other gaskets used to connect other components (turbos, compressors, intake/exhaust manifolds, fuel pump, etc.); oil cooler (for bare engine); thermostat.
  5. Adjust the engine ignition timing in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
  6. The engine must be installed no later than one month after the delivery date.

After engine installation

After installing the engine, you must:

  1. Check again that the ignition timing is correctly set.
  2. Check engine oil and coolant levels.
  3. Replace the oil cooler before installing the engine to avoid engine damage. Before starting the engine, insert a pressure gauge in place of the pressure sensor. The engine may only be started when the gauge reads approximately 0.5 bar; otherwise it may be damaged on start-up.
  4. Increase oil pressure before starting the engine. Pressure must reach 0.5 bar without exception. This procedure must be recorded on video. If this condition is not met, the warranty will be void. In case of technical problems related to these instructions, contact AUKETRA for detailed explanations and to avoid any error.
  5. Before starting the engine, disconnect the fuel supply relay and turn the engine over for a few cycles to fill the oil filter.

Warranty conditions and claims

If you need to make a warranty claim, you must provide proof that the engine was installed in accordance with the requirements. An invoice from a workshop or certified mechanic is considered valid proof. Other parts supplied with the engine are not covered by this warranty.

The engine must be handled, installed and maintained in accordance with the installation instructions.

Auketra assumes full responsibility if the engine sold is not suitable for your vehicle, provided it was selected on the basis of the VIN code supplied by the customer. In this case, the customer is entitled to a refund (including shipping costs) or engine replacement under an individual agreement with the customer.

Dismantling the engine without the Seller's written consent is prohibited. Engine parts are marked with special paint and a unique number. The warranty becomes invalid if the marking is removed.

To ensure compliance with warranty conditions, the engine must not be started until oil pressure has reached 0.5 bar. To do this, operate the starter without activating the fuel relay. The entire process must be documented on video to benefit from the warranty. The oil priming procedure must also be recorded on video. In case of technical difficulty during this process, please contact us for additional instructions and to avoid any error. Customers must provide video evidence of oil priming when submitting a claim. Absence of this evidence will result in rejection of the claim.

Before starting the engine, disconnect the fuel supply relay and turn the engine over several times to ensure proper saturation of the oil filter.

To benefit from the warranty, customers must provide proof that the engine was installed in accordance with the requirements. An invoice from a workshop or certified mechanic is considered valid proof. Please note that the warranty does not cover other parts supplied with the engine.
